The holidays allowed me some time away from the office and a road trip north to Indiana via Kansas City. I spent the past week with friends and family recharging and slowing down to recognize so many of life’s blessings. Without prompting, my grandson shared this touching song of thanksgiving and faith. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget all of God’s blessings.
I can’t watch that without a tear in my eye. Love to all of my kids…

It was a great week being with the family. Missed having you there, Dad.
Enjoyed seeing you again at Hawksbill Crag. Since you have crossed Smith Creek, you’ll want to visit to preserve a bit upstream form the BRT. Good camping site, though you might find some it a bit too refined if you are in for back country. How much of the BRT have you done so far, same question on OHT? Love to have you join the Ozark Society on its outings, you don;t need to be a member. (Member dues are used to support conservation)
Think about a couple of other day hikes (with overnight options): Center Point to Big Bluff and Goat Trail, and Buffalo River Extension from Buffalo Point upstream to Maumee Road (camp at Maumee Point) and return – great view of the Buffalo River. Nice blog!
Thank you, Mike. And likewise, what a pleasure it was to meet you and the group. I have done about 7 miles out and 7 back from Boxley on the BRT, Ponca to Kyle’s Landing and Compton to Horseshoe Bend. I did a 5 mile out and 5 back from Lake Ft. Smith on the OHT. I would love to join you all anytime.
